Lala Land Byron Bay

History

So here you are, looking for late night kicks in Byron, needing to be surrounded by a bunch of people who make you feel like the fashion conscious music-lover that you may be. It goes without saying, you would like more than to grind a member of the opposite sex to a barrage of juke box party hits! Well, we know exactly what you mean. What does everyone want? A killer night out! - music that will have even the most repressed inner club-fiend’s fist-pumping on the dance-floor, an awesome crew, and to be able to soak it all up without being sweated by individuals who make you feel like you've stepped into something right out of a tourist brochure, or a beer-stained pub night. We don't think that's too much to ask either.

LaLaLand’s roots can be traced back all the way to Melbourne, way back to some of that city’s most influential clubs and bars frequented by some the city’s ‘savviest peeps’.

Operating in Byron Bay since 2000, with our fingers firmly indented on the cultural pulse, we like to think that what we have to offer is ‘right up there’ with the best of them. LaLaLand is fitted to appease expectations of the ‘higher end’, so you could say it's rather ‘easy on the eye’. Leather couches, chandeliers and warm lighting set the mood from the get go. What gets sent through your ear drums is different each time. Variety is part of a healthy diet right? We pride ourselves on being able to place some of the coolest interstate and international acts right at your feet. Ranging from the newest and freshest talent in music today, to names so big you would be well advised to bring a ‘spare pair’ leaving you wondering “what are they doing in Byron”? (Picture festival side-shows, impromptu performances and private parties for the biggest rock stars on the planet). Keeping dance-floor real estate scarce either side of the big names is our very own stable of residents who undeniably form the pointy end of the talent pool.

And who doesn't love a happy ending? We get all kinds of warm and fuzzy sensations putting on a show for you each week, and all you really need to do is come in and feed off the goodness.
